I am sure that the jegs head is a canfield. there are a few unique things on a canfield. there is a 1/8" pipe plug right above the center exhaust ports, and a freeze plug in the end of the head. I think the mowtown light is the same head as well. I have a set of 220's on my 355 and i like them, other ... WebMar 11, 2006 · ported 23 degree heads can flow 305@ .500 lift and 320+ @ .600 with 2.080 valve, 230 cc or so port. That is a 4.155 bore. 280 is the bare minimum for .500 lift and 2.080 valve. If you don't have that something is goofy. 295 @ .500 is an achievable flow number by most head porters. Too bad you couldn't use an LS6 head! WebMar 1, 2009 · 1,132 Posts. (out of the box) There are so many brands and many differing opinions on heads. I tend to listen to guys like Joe Sherman and Jon Kaase and a few others.

Even if you were going to 'put it to the wood' and spin that 350 they'd probably have a soggy bottom end, which might not be a bad thing. For a stout 350 I'd go 180-200 . From a reliable source, the Canfield 192cc small block Ford heads were bad about cracking, but they upgraded/replaced them with their 195's which don't crack like the old ones.
