WebMay 11, 2014 · The port shapes in our big valve head were developed by Alan Knowles of CT racing. Alan has a huge amount of cylinder head experience and lots of big race wins to show for it. Are those shapes the absolute best? Hard to say. There are a lot of variables. One compromise is that the shapes are limited by the available meat in the head casting. The first thing I would do is add an exhaust and pumper carb or a XR650R carb if your lacking on funds and see if that will satisfy your needs and go from there, I see you already have an exhaust.

No sport compact head does this so far out into the port. The port is very long and small. Seeing other heads on the market, most are knocked back the center of the 2 ports and made it appear to be a larger runner.
